About

The removalist named after a street

Stone Parade runs fifty-five letterboxes down the old quarry descent, and it says everything we want to say about this suburb: the whole place is built on cut ground, on a slope, by people who came to stay. We took the name because it's the job description.

What we believe about moving

Most of the industry sells transport: a truck, a crew, an hourly meter, and a job that ends when the tailgate shuts. We think that's the wrong finish line, especially here, where a move is usually either a family arriving for their next twenty years or a household closing out their last forty.

So we work to a different definition. The job's done when the house works: beds up, kitchen live, the piano where it will live, the boxes on their right levels. Everything else on this site (the Driveway Scope, the guides, the three-line price list) falls out of that one sentence.

How we run a job

  • Scope first. The driveway, the garage, the stairs, the specials: found before the day, planned before the quote conversation ends. On steep blocks we walk it in person.
  • One honest price per crew. $250, $350 or $500 an hour by crew size. No second "standard" price, no door-of-truck surprises, and the working shown whenever we recommend a tier.
  • Crews that carry like they'll be back. Around here, they might well be: the family we move in this year is the school-fete stall next year. Small suburbs keep you honest.
  • Straight answers, including "no". If a job isn't ours (a national line's interstate run, a crane lift), we'll say so and point you somewhere sensible. See the interstate page for that policy in action.

The patch we serve

Davidson first: the 2085 pocket against Garigal National Park, where every street comes off Sir Thomas Mitchell Drive and drops toward the bush. Then the Forest around it and the near Upper North Shore: Frenchs Forest, Forestville, Belrose, East Killara, St Ives and their neighbours. The full areas page is here.

Why there's no phone number on this site yet

Because we won't publish a number that isn't properly staffed. While our local line is being set up, the enquiry form is the front door: you leave your number, and we do the calling. It also means your move's details arrive written down, which is exactly how a scope should start.

Moving to or from Davidson?

Tell us about the house, and we'll take it from there

Send the enquiry and we'll come back to you to talk through the move, the driveway and the right crew. No obligation, no meter running, just straight answers.
